bhavAni - Dikshitar School

bhAvAni in the dikshitar school is the 8th asampUrna mEla rAga and it is identical to bhavapriya in the sampUrna mElakarta system (which got covered sometime back here viewtopic.php?f=7&t=23647).

Despite this, I decided to keep separate threads for rAgAs from the Dikshitar school, because the more of them keep coming out, the more it tosses what we think we know about Dikshitar's music out of the window.

So Dikshitar has only one kriti in this rAgA - jayati shiva bhavAni, of which the only recording I could find on Youtube is this :- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h45VtNQTIFY (Though at this rate, I will absolutely not be surprised though if an "authentic one" soon comes out).

Glad to see your posts on ragas. In few months time, this section will have a great collection and succinct note on majority of the ragam.

I dont Tyagarajar and Deekshitar followed two different schools. I will try to support my statement with illustrations in due course of time.
