Aishwarya Venkataraman Violin
Vellore Ramabhadran Mridangam
Vinod Venkataraman Kanjira.

Dear Rasikas.

I had the unique opportunity of attending this concert. Aishwarya performed for a small and modest crowd of no more than 30 people at the Astika Samajam. Starting with a slight drizzle and a downpour for about 5 minutes prior to the concert may be the reason for this poor turnout. I am not a music critic. All I can say was the concert was absolutely mesmerizing. Aishwarya played for almost 2.5 hrs and kept the small crowd captivated. Shri Ramabhadran was at his peak. The overall mike system was PERFECT. Not a scratch or distortion. Hats off to the crew. The concluding remarks by Mr. Narsimhan summed up the concert very beautifully. This was in Tamil and I am not very well versed in the language. If some one recorded the concert please make the music available to our members or parts of it.

If any body else attended please post a list of songs and a comprehensive review.

What an endowed child! What a guru! The web site reveals the commitment of the family (the father seems to be just as talented). The combination of all these assets no doubt would make Aishu shine. Her academic excellence and credits as a swimmer shows that she is nourished as a child in all the various aspects of growing up.
I looked at her schedule. Since she has been in India, returning to the US in time for her studies, I note that she is not performing in Chennai this season. We have to wait until she makes her appearance next year, perhaps.

Meanwhile, it is lovely to read about you, your music and your family, Aishu. May your life and the gift of music in you flourish!

She performs on Sept 2nd at The Gayana Samaj. The concert begins at 5:00 PM. Accompaniments are Shri Vellore Ramabhadran and Vinod Venkataraman. The venue is of Shri Krishna Rajendra Road, Bangalore. I hope some of our esteemed forum members can attend and provide us their valuable input.

Gajananayutham and the swarams for Vathapi Ganapathim were enchanting...if it weren't for the video, I'd possibly think it was Prof TNK....amazing! Hope she can take the tradition and the advantage of his teachings, and nurture it..best wishes!

Dear Arasi madam,

I got introduced to this site after my concert in Bangalore. Thank you all very much for your support. All of rhis would not be possible without the loving and nurturing guidance of my guru TN Krishnan mama. The best teacher a student can ask for. I will be coming to perform in Chennai this December. Hope I can meet you then.

Musically,
Aishu

It is a great delight to know that TNK sir is preparing lot of young talents.

I remember a young violinist accompanying Smt. Ranjani & gayathri in Bangalore during Ram Navami festival in Seshadripuram College.

Penultimate speech by the organiser, who states that the girl who is accompanying the above artists is a student of TNK sir.

I dont remember the name, but it might be the young Aishu, who was providing a compact accompaniment stamping class and authority in returning every moves of smt Ranjani &Gayathri with much ease and providing much needed support to the concert which was well appreciated by the good number of Rasikas present there.

Kudos to TNK sir for preparing young talents to the elevated stage.

I don't believe Aishu has accompanied other musicians.

Giridharan, the violinist you are thinking of could be Charumathi Raghuramam, she is almost the exclusive violinist for R&G now...

shadjam,
Why don't we just call her a highly talented violin player?

Arasi madam and Bhindi,

I was not certainly debating the word. When I saw it I just felt this is going to create another storm. We already had one earlier on the same topic. Remember!!

Sorry!! I can’t resist anymore from posting this. I really hope not to see these types of self-promotions again. There have been three new members (who all joined recently) posting in this thread. All three of them have come up with glowing reviews of this concert/artist. All of them post only in this thread. One of the three seems to have also uploaded the video in youtube. It looks like some of the relatives/friends of this artist are orchestrating this promotion. I hope they realize that such tactics are not good for the artist in the long run and keep away from posting such reviews again. I sincerely wish the kid a bright future.
