Gayatri’s concert was patterned throughout to suit the mood of the occasion. The verses from Guru Gita and Dakshinamurthy Stotra (the latter regularly heard in MSS concerts) were apt to the text of the compositions. Yet she has kept up the tempo required for a concert by raga elaboration and swara passages adequately, but by giving a soft touch to her exposition. Raga elaboration and swara passages both in measured terms for Chandrajyothi stood testimony to the hard work behind the presentation. Sri Dakshinamurthe and Vananai were presented with high devotion . The elaboration of raga and rendering of charanam in melkalam in Vananai were noteworthy with the backing of the mellifluous voice. Support in violin and Mrudangam enhanced the value of the concert and the artists are known for such support. A good concert to remember
