Very very nice Kutcheri - powerful singing and super supportive accompaniments
Sri Balaji - played boldly in Mridangam but it was very nice and lent brightness to the Kutcheri

Dayaipuriya - Malayamarutham - Vedanayakam Pillai -short alapanai and swarams - very nice
Begada - Karunai tandennai - short alapanai and swarams - was nicely sung but in the madhyamakala sahithyams the words were not clear - this kruthi same mettu like kadaikkann vaithennai - but the lyrics are more suitable for the latter kruthi for this mettu I felt or just might be conditioning
Fantastic neeetimati detailed alapanai and niraval at neetimati tanddrul - Mohana Kara muthukumara - koteeswara Iyer - submain
Indha tamadam -kannada- TRS tuned Ambujam Krishna composition - superb

Main - sparkling Mohanam and Jagadeeshwari krupai
It was a really nice concert
Bright and powerful full throated singing and Mridangam was exceptionally good and violin and ghatam were great also
Expected more laya based swarams and kanakku in TRS style from the vocalist but she did only a bit which was all Nice and effective

I knew vidwans and vidushis like DKP, VV Sadagopan(I think so Arasi can correct), Dr Ramanathan, TMT ,TNS all tuned Ambujam krishna compositions. Never knew even the supernova Taala Raaga Swaroopan aka Tiruvidaimarudhur RajaGopalan Subramanyam tuned few Ambujam krishna compositions {for the record i only found the expansion T as Tiruvidaimarudhur}

one of my favourite Ambujam Krishna compositions is Mariyemi kavalanu also set in kannada - in pallavi GMRS, NSDP used so well in different sthaayis - not sure who tuned that one - anyone know pls share information here

The great Semmangudi and Musiri tuned the songs found in Geethamala Vol:2 of her compositions. I think it was Semmangudi who tuned this one. Hope I am right.

As always, you are a good reference library! I don't think that DKP tuned any of her songs, though. Please do note that Kedaranathan (a much overlooked musician, sishya of SS, tuned a whole set of her songs). Some of them are just outstanding, in my view.

Are you referring to SSI as tunesmith for Mariyemi kavalanu ? My earliest memory of listening to this song is in a cassette by Smt Anantalakshmi Sadagoppan then TNS Mama. Thanks for letting me know

In Geethamala Volume Two, Smt. Ambujam Krishna acknowledges both SSI and Musiri as the tunesmiths.
She also thanks Dr. S.Ramanathan for his great help in the process of getting it all together in a book form.

One of my favorites in this collection (vol: 2) is gati nIyE enRu in ToDi. sollithAn teriumO in hamsAnandi is a sprightly little piece. Aravinda pada malar nOgumO has been quite popular, sung by vidwAns and vidUshis. kOlam kAna vArIr in nATaikuRinji has been a favorite among many of us, and is a staple in Unjal ceremony in numerous weddings!

mari Emi kAvalanu in kannaDa is another pleasing addition to any concert.

varuvAi varuvAiyenRu is a substantial rAgamAlika in kamAs, asAveri, behAg and paras (paraju?). Wonder how many have sung it on stage!
