I'm happy to hear the tradition continues even without LGJ sir..... I can't imagine a NY day concert at MFAS without the maestro though.

what a gr8 start 2 the year... i had the fortune of getting the darshan of lalgudi sir and also his blessings..i somehow mustered up courage 2 go and speak 2 him and told dat i am one of the die hard worshippers of his music... now how many ppl wud hv said dat 2 him over the decades!!! he listened 2 me so patiently and held my hand and said all the best...now i can never forget dat all my life...here is a vidwan whom i worship (ofcourse ne1 who has heard lalgudi sir with the maestros of dat golden era from ariyakudi to semmangudi will definitely do so) and getting such humble, caring words from him, well really i felt blessed.

and now the concert started with the kannada varnam of lalgudi sir...and needless 2 say the laya support from our tiger sankarn sir and suresh sir was scintillating...the whole concert till the bhairavi piece was soothing and fillers with gumuki by sankaran sir were really a masterpiece display.. then the bhairavi and the thani with the amazin khanda gathi and a bful kuraippu... unfortunately i had 2 leave urgently after bhairavi and din hear the rtp nd the other items...can ne1 plks throw more light on dis????
