She has stated she does not get angry with the students although she is a "hard task master".

In the interview she states, she was approached for acting in that movie, which she declined. Eventually the acting role went to Meena who was introduced in the movie for first time.

What an sweet lady Sowmya seems to be besides being the musician and scholar she is. Enjoyed watching her interview. She was sparkling and was very communicative.
Many of us who are out of town and country are going to miss being there at her rasikAs concert end of this month. Looking forward to Cool's sharing the concert with us. Hope she is going to sing quite a few tamizh songs...

Thanks bhagavathar!! The Smt. DKP-Smt. Nityashree interview was awesome - Smt. DKP speaks like a child (such simplicity), but yet the message is so powerful.

In the tilang song (part 2), was that Mrs. DKJ on one of the tamburas?
