On the occasion of Kanchi Sages 74 Jayanthi Celebrations and also Chatur Masya Vrata Anushtaanam The illustrious wards of LGJ played a grand violin duet at Kanchipuram on 19-7-2008 in the immediate presence of His Holiness who blessed all of us and on this occasion Smt.Vijayalakshmi was also awarded the title of "Tantri Naada Mani" by Kanch Mutt and His Holiness blessed the artistes.

The concert had the following items :

A kutcheri full of 'vathis' and ' and mathis'and lots of 'i's- Jaganmohini,Anandabhairavi, Hemavathi, Saramathi, Kapi, and.Madhyamavathi.
It must have been a very divine experience to be playing in the presence of His Holiness Kanchi Acharya. Blessed are the artists.

Thank you for pointing out the speciality. In that list of 'i's you can include Balaji also hahahah. Just joking. Actually the experience was very divine and Paramacharya enquired about Lalgudi Sirs health and talked about the renovations and the work going on in Tiruvarur Mumurthy Kshetra and blessed all of us.
