Hi All,
I am new to this forum. I am learning Carnatic Music.
Kindly do let me know how can i master "singing Kalpana swara", "Neraval", "Alaapana".
Any reference to books/cds/articles would also be helpful.

Refer to the thread on Kalpana Swaram at http://www.rasikas.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=777
and on Neraval at http://www.rasikas.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=5508
here is an article on Alapana http://www.carnaticcorner.com/articles/alapana.html
and a general article on Manodharma aspects http://www.carnaticcorner.com/articles/ ... ation.html
I must emphasise that once you understand the concepts that listening to lots of renditions of alapana, neraval and swaram is the best way to learn. Shivkumar's manodharma archive will be of use here: http://www.ecse.rpi.edu/Homepages/shivk ... index.html
