Avnipriya: it is the tODaya mangaLam paying obeisance to gyAnasabESan of vazhuvUr - a standard opening piece in the arangETram's of students of the vazhuvUr school. So, anyone from that school should be able to give those to you. I am not sure who the composer is.

Is that Guru Rhadha on the naTTuvAngam?

Yes, Ravi. It is Guru Rhadha. The arangetram was a couple years ago in South Brunswick, NJ (the girl is from here).

Avnipriya, here is my attempt at transcribing the lyrics from the singing in that link you posted. The italiscised words are ones I am not sure about (but are educated guesses). Hopefully, someone will help.

tODaya maMgaLam:

jaya SuddhapurivAsA |
jaya mahA gyAnasabhESA ||
jaya gajasamhArESA |
jaya krtivAsESA || jaya jaya...

SrI krtivAsESvararukku jaya maMgaLam |
SrI bAlakucAMbikaikku SubhamaMgaLam ||
pancabhUta vihasarukku nityamaMgaLam |
bhakta svAminAtharukku krpai Seiyya nityamaMgaLam || SrI krtivAsESvararukku...

Most of the post #9 is showing up as coded numbers like
जय etc.

This is happening after the forum's font and style has changed from today. Otherwise I love the new look and style.

Avnipriya,

The adminstrator is working on putting in the feature to read fonts other than english. In the meantime, if you copy the romanized lyrics from my post and paste it into quillpad, or Arun's transliterator and set the output font to sanskrit, voila, you will get the lyrics in devanAgarI :P.
