Are Shudha vasantham and Mandu the same raga. Has Dikshitar composed any krithi in Mandu or was Shudha vasantam his expression of Mandu. The song is Somasundareswaram Bahjeham.

Shuddha vasantham is an older carnatic ragam, and has been handled by annamacharya as well as M.Dikshitar. Dikshitar's song - Somasundareswaram follows the scale - SRGMPDNS/SNDPMReS It employs SRGaS in Tara sthayi as a special phrase. it is just a gamaka-rahita version of sankarabharanam.

Mandu is a auttareya raga of the Desiya variety, it is supposed to have been derived from the folk music of Rajasthan, and it's presence can still be discerned in it.
It can be assigned a scale of (roughly) SGMPDS/SNDM(P)GRS with a few unusual phrases. The maand delineations of Nikhil bannerjee (sitar) are simply divine.

More popular is misra maand, with foreign notes for novelty. Oleti's version of bhaja govindam is a good example for the same.
