It was a very good concert. All pieces were exceptionally well handled. Each kriti rendition was weighty and crisp. All the rAga AlApanais were beautifully handled touching all the essential phrases and adding all the essentialities to make it very appealing. The neraval and svarams were well done too. The pallavi, set in different rAgams for the pUrvAngam and uttarAngam, was rendered quite elaborately and with trikAlam and tisram. The accompanists did a wonderful job in accompanying the main artist. They gave fitting patterns during accompanying and during their solo versions.

It was a lovely concert. The singer shows immense potential, though I sometimes wished she hit her notes a bit "sharper" at times. But do not misunderstand! She performed very effectively as such! The pallavi beautiful, and for its kind of fairly complex rhythmic setting, it seemed so very simple too, as it was performed!
I wished the final lines of the sahAnA anupallavi and caraNam were sung once again after the pallavi. And rbharath, it's PS not PD.
The neraval was also done in the same rAgA pattern, and svarams were given appropriately for both rAgams, mOhanam svaras leading to "mOhana ..." and varALi svarams leading sometimes to "ambikai" and sometimes to "varAL idO!"
Also, rbharath, it's bhikShaviyyavE, I think.

Bharath,
I have heard it sung as 'bhiksha' as well by some.
However, no comment about that 'pURvi kalyANi' which has been chasing you around! I am glad. The seasonal seizure is over and I presume you are back to relishing the rAga which is a beautiful one. No, don't throw the bhairavi bias of mine at me! I am 'learning' to like it of late...
