Importance of K-Devagandhari

Hi Rasikas,

Kindly let me know what is the importance of Karanaataka Devagandhari. Is it associated with Lord Murugan. Also i see the similarity in Reethi gowla in the sense of sweetness and calmness.
Kindly let me know your thoughts on this raagam.

dear Mr Harihaarn, Please lend your ears to two of my compositions in K.Deva ghandhari, which is beyond any stretch of doubt , is a favourite of many a CM devotee. Perhaps the Rakthi Bhavam entwined with Karunaa and Bhakthi rasam dominating the lyrical beauty of many songs depicting th glory of Lord Muruga.And now I give below my contribution in this Raga.

Dear VKR, Abheri has sudha deivtam inn avarohanam whjereaszI havnot used the same in my rendition., since it is considered to be a janya of naTa bhasiravi(20 th melam) Thanks a lot
