What's the raga of this bhajan?

Would it be accurate to state that sallaapam (S G3 M1 D1 N2 - N2 D1 M1 G3 S) is the closest Carnatic equivalent of this Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki sung bhajan? -- http://tinyurl.com/dxupfk

There are (very) occasional touches of the "R2", which are throwing me off -- but maybe that could be explained by the fact that this is a "light" composition?

The equivalent raga of 'Sallapam' in HM is rag " Surya". Please refer to the following link whee it had been discussed in our forum earlier. This particular Bhajan is in the rag ' Surya' , according to my views.
