Isn't this a tAna varNam? I wonder because the request is in the nATyam section.

pallavi
gaNanAthA nIyE sharaNamayyA kaN pArttiDavE idE taruNamayyA

Oh leader (nAtha) of the bhUta gaNas (gaNanAthA)! My Lord (ayyA), you alone (nIyE) are my succor (SaraNam). My lord (ayyA), this (idE) is the best time (taruNam) for you to turn your benevolent gaze (kaN pArttiDavE) [1] upon me.

anupallavi
kaNamum undan padravindam maravEn kAttaruLvAi ini tAmadamEn

I have never forgotten (maravEn) your (undan) lotus-like feet (padAravindam) for even a second (kaNamum). Please protect (kAttu) and bless me (aruLvAi). Why (En) the delay (tAmadam) now (ini)?

caraNam
sAmagAna lOlan shankaran magizhum maindanE

The Lord who enjoys (lOlan) the chanting of the sAma vEda (sAma gAna), and the son (maidanE) in whom Siva (Sankaran) delights in (magizhum).

rshankar,
In tamil, words that end with 'En' like vEndEn, maravEn, ariyEn etc. are of negative sense, are they?
I mean, 'maravEn' means not forget. Is it similar to all such words?

It is not that simple:

arivEn (I do know) for instance is positive, while ariyEn (I know not) is negative
