Just by chance I happened to see a book titled 'The Grammar of Carnatic Music' by K. G. Vijayakrishnan at amazon.com. First the title caught my intrigue and then the price: $137.20 Amazon says it is not yet released.
Has any of you heard about this book or the author?

He is a Hyderabad based linguistic professor .
As a vainikan, his baani is that of Dhanammal. His mother,Karpakavalli was a disciple of Ranagaramanuja Iyengar, who was a student of Veena Dhanammal herself.
He has performed at various sabhas in India and abroad.
This particular book, which hasn?t been released, should be a good one,but the price is too high.
