Guru T K Govinda Rao passed away on last Sunday leaving the Carnatic Music world poorer on Sunday the 18th September.TKG was 82.One of the pillars of the Carnatic Music TKG was a Guru for many including the Sangitha Kalanidhis Bombay Sisters.TKG had the rare skill of putting the theory into practice in a perfect manner and was accorded with a lot of very great honours.In fact TKG like many others did not get the due and proper recognition
and that is part of the system.Age never withered the great Guru who taught a lot of music &
art aspirants and he was the cause of many who are very well established today.TKG was like a Banyan Tree and many music branches were nurtured by the Guru Govinda RaojiTKG
was very simple for all his skills and never had generation gap.We salute TKG the Great Sir!
