Gaudamalhar Raga

Hi

Is the carnatic raga gaudamalhar (Sarasamukhi and Jaya devi krithis) the same as hindustani raga gaud-malhar. Or are only the names same.
If it's the same how come in Hindustani they sing this raga in detail whereas in carnatic this beautiful raga is not explored except for the krithi Sarasamukhi.

Hindustani gauDmalhAr is different from Karnatak gauDamalhAr.
The hindusatani version is a janya of kAfi (kharaharapriyA). S R M P D N P M P D S / S D N P M(a) G R G R S
Karnatak gauDamalhAr is a jnya of shankarAbharaNa and the scale is: S R M P D S / S N D M G R S

I belong to Chennai India (Nanganallur precisely) but am employed and hence resident in AbuDhabi.
I would be grateful if you could send me the link to MMIji's expanded version. I searched in youtube and google but unable to find.

Also am looking for another particular beautiful song Jaya Devi Jagan Maathey in this raga, also a composition of Sri. HMB. If you have any audio recordings of the same please also share with me. In sangeethapriya there is one version from where i caught the song.

My son says Gaud Malhar is a janya of Khamaj, not Kafi.
