Mr. Naarayanan, Agnikopam is not a shadava shadava janya raga. It is audava shadava derived from the 22nd mela Kharaharapriya. The Aroh.& avaroh. of this raga are SGMPNS - SNPMGRS. This raga has resemblances of Sudhadanyasi and Abheri. This is a minor raga.

It is now very difficult to identify any second song in this raga, when our respected Sri. Lakshmanji had mentioned only one single composition in this raga, in his reply.

If anyone can post an audio link of the song it is welcome.

the following three a/a is acceptable.

as pointed out, it is sudha dhanyasi plus ri.

it can be either sgmpns/snpmgrs or srgmpns/snpmgs or srgmpns/snpmgrs.

raja has composed some 5,6 songs in this raga. like masimasam, vanukum meenukum, vennalay (telugu movie) etc.

please give the link of the varnam mentioned above. thanks

Isn't srgmpns/snpmgrs pushpalatika?

yeah. pushpalathika also has the same a/a. janya of karaharapriya.

but agnikopam comes under both natabhairavi and karaharapriya. and under natabhairavi, it allows all the 3 a/a as mentioned above.
