I missed RKM for some time now.

This is a wonderful concert. A couple of Tiruppavai type of songs in the beginning. Then Jutamu rare inArabhi and then Varali-Seshachalanayam. Great renditions.

Then follows a grand Shankarabharanam. Bhaktaparayana by Swathi Thirunal.

Great accompaniment by HM Smitha and KUJ Rao.

The niraval was mind blowing.

Heard up to SankarAbharaNa which was grand, as you say. Smitha's playing I am partial to. She does so well, accompanying both female and male vocalists. Her stage presence is as sweet as her playing.
The vENugOpAla vigraha is the background at the Ethiraja Mutt is lovely to behold...

The Suddhananda Bharati composition should be kaNNanE en kaNavan - a declarative statement, that “kRshNa (and no one else) is my husband”

What pure bliss! Ramakrishnanmurthy's performance brings memories of KVN. And, with Smitha on the violin, the performance had to be great, and it was. Thanks a lot to te organisers of this performance.

Sachi to have travelled from Indiranagar to Malleswaram.Definitely the concert was of elevated standards what with the erudite presence of Jeeyar Swamiji!

H M Smitha has improved by leaps and bounds accompanying stalwarts of day.Hers is an example that Violinists get better by accompanying various artists.
