In these troubled times, as when the whole world is celebrating the birth of the Prince of Peace here is my humble contribution in CM

Raga Darbari Kanada

shlokam:
yEshu rakShatu mAM carAcara guruH
yEshuM namasyAmahaM
yEshunA mAnava agha OghO vinihitA
yEshavE tubhyaM namaH
na yEshOH paraM guruH
yEshOr dAsOsmyahaM
yEshau bhaktiraca~ncalA astu bhagavan
hE yEshO pAhi mAm sadA ||
(meaning:
May Jesus the Teacher of the world protect me
I prostrate to Jesus
By Jesus the ocean of (human) sins have been eradicated
For Jesus is my reverence
There is no greater teacher than Jesus
I am a servant of Jesus (follow his precepts)
O God! let me have unshakable faith in Jesus
O Jesus Always save me

Note: All the eight vibhaktis are used in this verse!)

Running meaning:

I meditate always on Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the offspring of Holy Virgin Mary.
" I am the saviour of the Good Sheep; For the Sheep I will give my own Life"
So he said and so he did. (That)

People like trees (insensitive) impelled by greed have loaded the earth.
O Sinner! Repent! Surrender your heart to Him (Jesus). (Let Jesus enter your Heart)
Spread Good Will on all people on the Earth
Certainly the Sacred Kingdom of God will come.
It is True it will come.
(Then) All is well with the World!

Let there be Peace (all three kinds)

CML. so apt for the occassion; very nice.
I have, as an youngster, learnt a sloka on rAmA, 'rAmo rakshati' or something like that. It used to have all the vibhaktis .I dont rmemeber that. If you,do, can you post it?Thanks.

Peace on earth ? with our muslim "friends" not changing their mind.. I think you are dreaming! Wake up, my friends.. I do not want this thread to be hijacked, but I listened to some teaching s they do in a mosque in US and it is beyond words to express here. I have no hope of peace as long as they preach that stuff..

Ultimately Love conquers Hate.
The key concepts are summarized neatly in the Narada Bhakti Sutra which is the Manual on Divine (Universal) Love.
mOdantE pitarO n^Rityanti dEvatAH sanAthA cEyaM bhUrbhavati |
(Sutra 71)
The Father(s) rejoice; the Angels dance in joy, and the earth gets a Saviour.
Thus an avatAra takes place every time there is the need for a Saviour as per the promise of the Lord:
yadA yadA hi dharmasya gLAnir bhavati bhArata |
abhyuttAnAmadharmasya tadAtmAnaM s^RijAmyahaM ||

Jesus was indeed born only during such a troubled times and he did conquer the world through his message of Universal Love!

This is indeed the time to heal and to bring all of Humanity under the Umbrella of Love.

CM is a divine gift and it is a Uniter and Healer. I can vouch without any investigative studies that the occurrence of Crime and Violence will be less among those who love and listen to CM. Let us share this gift with the rest of the world transforming our bhakti orientation to sArvajanika bhakti (Universal Love).

We need inspired vaggeyakaras to compose on Universal themes to appeal to the rest of the world, and performers to break out of traditional bonds and to 'sing' to the World transcending caste, creed, colour and Religion!

(Hence I borrowed AcArya's words maitrIM bhajata sakala janaanaaM which was addressed to Humanity and carried forward as the (CM) Musical Message from BhAratavarSha by MS our Queen of Music to the United Nations)
