1. Varnam"ninnE kOri" - Kanada - Tvtr tyagayya
3.Niravatisukada(R N S) - Ravichandrika - Tyagaraja

This concert was definitely excellent overall. The varnam was very good , but the only dip was his darbAr , darbAr and kAnaDA has a very close overlap singing next to each other is certainly not a right choice .Also his darbAr rendition was just good.
The excellence started right there from ravichandrikA , outstanding alApanai with few juicy nAdaswara pidis and long akaram , followed by lovely rendition of niravidhi sukhada .ThyagarAja was a master here , he has just forced the musician to stay in nAdaswara bAni . The neraval and swaras had the right piDI . A moving alAp in subhapantuvarAli followed by a clean rendition of sri satyanarayanam, it was perfect and appropriate that he stopped just at the krithi.
If darbAr was just good ,begaDA was also quite close to that, there was little excess power that robbed the sowkhayam but certainly the krithi was well rendered with its cittaswaras . The rAga alApanai of bhairavi was outstanding and brilliant , expectedly this thamizh krithi followed . Certainly the neraval and swaras were not that expansive and was just one notch down to excellent . But looking at the list since he had pallavi he had to cut short a bit.
nAgai murali was little loud in his play, but both percussionist were excellent , particularly kanjirA of rAja ganesh was half notch higher..BTW this vishwesaru in 3 rAgas was tuned by nAgai muralidharan.
I would have stayed but 3 tanis in a row with nearly 7 tani's in 2 days was a bit overstretch.
