Though the vasantha raga alapana was lively with enchanting phrases tns could have added more sowkyam in his alapana, did he sing alone or were there any accompaniments and vocal support.
Members fail to mention the names of the accompanists in some concerts, It is not at all proper.

The accompanists were Serthalai Sivakumar, Ramesh and Srisundarkumar. The Vasantha alapana and madyamavathi were which i liked most. i thought the alapana was sung the way it shouls be sung for harharaputhram.

Sorry it was sahana varnam. It was not a typo. It was my bad handwriting!I have corrected it.

'The rasikas experienced the advent of spring as described by Kalidasa in his immortal epic Kumarasambhava. Yes it was vasantha which claimed the hearts of the rasikas, as ‘vasam thaa.’

’ I mentioned Kalidasa because there could be no other comparison to the vasantha sang by TNS today. Vasantha means spring., and it was truly the advent of spring

True to the name, the raga and the krthi was made to appear ‘madhusyandhina,’ as the spring, vasantha is known as madhu which also means honey.'-excerpt from my review on sulekha

Vasnatha sung that day was such that no one else could have sung it with more soukhyam
