Carnatic Music is one of the oldest music systems in the world; it is a medium through which the rich traditions and cultures of India are transmitted to a vast audience. Festivals such as Composers Day, Trimurthi Day, and Thyagaraja Day celebrate the lives of great composers who have paved the way in creating this divine genre of music.

As a music teacher serving the North Jersey Community in new Jersey,u.s.a I am aimed at organizing a group of aspiring singers in new jersey, who would like to participate in these celebrations. Individuals who are interested in singing, but are not quite ready for a solo performance can now perform with a group of people.

Ideally, I am looking to teach songs to groups of singers, who will then represent a specific composer during these festivals. The only real prerequisite is to have interest in music and general knowledge about Carnatic Music (Sruthi, talam, etc.)

Essentially, my goal is to expand musical interest within the community and generate knowledge about the ancient roots of Carnatic Music.

If you are in New jersey and interested in joining the group
please email me at

[email protected] giving details about you

Thank You.
