Will somebody who attended the Sadas at the Academy post about it with a list of the awardees?

Sriram has put up the details on his blog at sriramv.wordpress.com.

As he has observed, the Academy seems to have sensibly clubbed various awards which, I thought, robbed the awards of significance. However I notice that no percussionists/violinists have been awarded. Also some awards do not make sense - for example, Nisha Rajagopal sang in the junior slot but has been given a sub-junior concert award (while Amrutha Murali has bagged the corresponding award for the junior slot)

Patri Sathishkumar, A.Anand and N.C.Baradwaj got the awards for mrudangam. Embar Kannan and Amritha Murali for violin, I think.

It looks like Sriram Parasuram has received an award for violin performance as well......

Better late than never. The clarionet Everest at last is honured. As the konnakkol artiste mentioned that honour will come only at appropriate time. Clarionet won well before any other western instrument could hit the target.

Anand,Raghu's grandson is a star in making and has the potential to reach the standards of Palani Subbu & Mani Iyer provided he gets enough opportunities. Presently he accompanies only Abishek his cousin. Any views on Anand from Laya pandits?

I also heard Anand accompanying Subhiksha Rangarajan (a promising newcomer). I enjoyed listening to him twice this year, accompanying his cousin as well.
