The concert of sattur sisters for sriranjani was gracious and traditional. Mathangi sri rajarajeswari in Rama manohari was an awesome choice. Bhuvana delineated Ramamanohari with prachina phrases, her voice is very flexible and she is able to render fast phrases with ease. The kalpanaswaram was rendered at vamamarga priyakari. Lalithas keervani alapana needs special mention, it was impressive with excellent manodharma. They rendered Kalikiyunte’ of Thyagaraja and the niraval swaram was in Bhaguga sri raghu’ The swara exchange between the sisters was lively and added charm to the entire concert.
The other items were Srisankara guruvaram in Nagaswaravali, Narasimhamamava - Of ?? {should be a composition of Swathi Tirunal since there was pankajanabha mudhra in charanam} were well rendered.
Hemalatha on the violin and B Sivaram on the Mrithangam gave good support .
