Isn't Sri Ramh a disciple of Sri LGJ's?

Thank you Nagaraj.
I liked DD's tAmarai pUtta taDAgamaDi a lot when I was little. The pallavi of the song brought a rich image to my mind. Did not know the rAgam then. Until this day, I hadn't heard of a hindustAni gAndhAri.

This I remember to have read a while back. As a youngster, when Lalgudi Jayaraman was starting his music career, it was Dhandapani Desikar who, recognizing the precocious talent in Lalgudi, encouraged and gave many opportunities for violin accompaniment to the teenaged prodigy.

Lalgudi’s accomplishments thereafter are stories of a legend.

Considering this, Lalgudi’s disciple S. P. Ramh’s music tribute to Dhandapani Desikar is most appropriate and fitting.
