Why Sabhesha Iyer was called as Vidwan Sabhesha Iyer?

Are there any other musicain with the same title?

Your question is not very clear. Are you asking why Sabhesa Iyer was called a vidwan?

It appears Sabhesa was his name, and he was a vidwan, isn't it?

Was he simply called as "Vidwan" ? or title given by somebody( like Mysore Maharaja)?

No other musicains were given this title.

The titles like "Maha" is also rarely seen.

Can somebody throw light on these " old" titles and the authority which issued these.
