Did the Saint compose ciTTasvarams for his compositions, or did one of his disciples do that (I have heard a few sung with c.svarams by some schools)? Is there a provenance to these svarams?

chittaswarams for compositions such as nenarunchi (malavi), vara raga laya (chenchukamboji) and sobillu (jaganmohini) seem to be recent interpolations - not quite sure who composed them though.

I know for sure that the Chittasvarams for Sobillu were composed by the Veena Maestro Karaikudi Sambasiva Iyer.

Yes, this is true, so goes the one for mAmava satataM inthe same rAga. This is mentioned by Prof sAmbamUrti in his books.

How about the one sung for Telisi Rama?

Didn't we have this discussion some time ago? or may be in sangeetham.com. The chittasvarams sung for many tyAgarAja kRtis were attributed to GNB's father, G Narayanaswami Iyer (sItammA mAyammA, nenarunchinAnu, niravati sukhadA, telisi rAma, etc)
