Hi,

I have the lyrics of this song. I find difficulty in understanding the charanam part. If somebody could help me with the meaning of the charanam in this Krithi of Sri Papanasam Sivan in Sriranjani it will be great.
Thanks
Radha

Here it is:
vaiyattinilE - in this world
karuppaiyuL kiDandu- staying in the womb
uLLam naiyap- the heart getting weakened
piravAmal-not tobe born again
aiyan tiru naTam-the great dance of the Lord
What the composer means is in order not to be born again in the world ,and getting the heart bruised and battered, one should have the darshan of the great dance of the Lord
2: OTTai shaDalam oDunga - this body ,which is full of holes, starts to wither or dry up
veTrelumbuk-kUTTil irundu-from this 'bag of bones' (skeleton)
uyir OTTam piDikkumun-before the life runs away
Meaning, before the life ebbs away from this body which is nothing but a bag of bones and which has lots of holes and starts to dry up (should one not have the darshan of the Lord)
