10) Shri Rama Jayarama - Yadukulakambhoji
11) Ragamalika Mangalam Shlokam - announced to be composed by Walajapet Venkataramana Bhagavathar on his Guru Thyagaraja

It was a good concert with all Thyagaraja Krithis. Mundu Venuka is always a favourite Krithi of mine. Nice to hear two considerably heavy Krithis at the very beginning. To me, the pick of the concert was the Mukhari Krithi rendition - was highly emotive. The Jaganmohini Krithi is supposedly a Sanksrit composition. Varali was delivered well with a good round of Neraval and Swarams at Paramathmudu. The Ragapanjaram was a new one to me and it looked to be a Harikambhoji Janyam. The heavyweight Kambhoji Krithi was rendered leisurely with all its fine Sangathis. The Swarams had a bit of some nice Kanakku. The Tani was good with a nicely set Korvai. Post main, I liked the Neelambari and Kapi. A word about the violinist. Ganesh Prasad is surely one of the wonderful violinists of today. His Ragam essays stood out in particular with Mukhari and Kapi being really touching.

Overall, a fine concert with some classic Krithis.

Nice choice of kritis. For me, it is indeed a great concert when I hear more than one Thyagaraja kriti for the first time on stage. Kudos to the artiste for looking past Eti Janamamu, Evari Mata, O Rangasayee etc.

Heavy songs in the beginning is not anything unique. tns begins concerts with meenakshi memudam or an expansive todi. Several other artists do it too.
