Bilahari,

I know you'll attend all the music concerts, but, if you can, please make sure you attend Smt. Bharati Sivaji's performance - she is undeniably one of India's finest mOhiniATTam artists - I remember an evening of pure bliss at the open air theater on a cool fall evening in Chandigarh many years ago watching her perform (with the lovely, lilting music that I have since learnt is called sOpAnam music). It was very relaxing!

Was wondering how many people attended the festival? Bilahari had mentioned which were the most well-attended concerts, but what sort of audience numbers attended and how does this compare to regular concerts in San Diego?

Mohan, I will try to obtain numbers. The least attended concert, PP's, had 40-80 I would estimate. Maybe 500 or so for the sold out dance concerts? Off-season concert attendance I've seen about 50-120...
