I just purchased this DVD during my recent visit to Chennai. This is a real labour of love by Sangita Kalanidhi Umayalpuram Sri K. Sivaraman. The techniques right from basic stuff to advanced korvais, mohras etc are explained in a lucid and simple way by the articulate maestro ably supported by his disciples including our own Vidvan Erode Sri Nagaraj.

I have gone through DVD 1 and can't wait to view all the other 6 DVDs. I can only imagine the level of effort that Sri UKS must have put into this while continuing to maintain a hectic concert and teaching schedule. This is an invaluable DVD for any serious music lover and well worth every rupee. A great insight into Sri UKS as a teacher and a chance to watch his elegant and debonair mrudanga artistry from close quarters. Our forum members Sri Nagaraj and Sri Ramkumar are definitely fortunate to be his disciples!

Prashant: I did just the same a few weeks back during my recent trip there. I bought only the first volume. I have not watched it yet, you have now motivated me to give it some quality time.
