Is there any place ( website or topic/discussion thread in rasikas.org itself ) which could bring all Carnatic music lovers of Pune/Mumbai together ? Kindly lemme know if its there.

Hi, u can get to the forum 'music and festivals' in which you can see a topic - 'concerts in mumbai'. here u can get in touch with the mumbai crowd.... not sure about pune.... welcome!

The concerts at pune is organised by Pune Sangeetha Sabha for which Mr.Mahadevan is the Secretary. You can keep in touch with him through his e-mail id which i will give you after you write to me. They generally organise concerts one year in advance. The concerts for this year upto November i think have been fixed.

Tried to get in touch with Mr. Mahadevan, both via email and phone. Did not get a response. The phone number seems to have been disconnected. I have a group of friends interested in Carnatic music who wanted to become life members at the sabha. I f any one has a phone number on how to get in touch with Mr. mahadevan or the sabha, please post

Hi Appu - also try this. It is updated monthy by Shri Kishor Merchant. He is also willing to update schedules with performances (his list presently includes mostly concerts in FAS and Shanmukha) if informed in advance.

A paper subscription costs 150 Rs per annum or so and would recommend Mumbai rasikas to get this, if only to contribute a small amount to a worthy cause. That reminds me to renew my subscription myself.

hi ,

we have just opened a calender for Chennai which is still in its nascent stage and hope it should be a more reliable source of information shortly. Vasanthakokilam and srkris are working on it and some of us are lending helping hands. while you would be witnessing this going smoothly we could have separate calenders for various cities which branches out from one single thread. you could send the suggestions to the mods.
