Some comments - The concert is on similar lines to the one i attended in december in chennai - in Sriranjani sabha. He sang same varnam and tillana! The way he teams up with accompanying artists, the way he interacts with audience deserve special mention. The swaras for mayamalavagowla was lengthy but interesting. to me, highlight of the evening was kedaram keerthana and behag alapana. There were couple of new songs also, which i heard for first time. And, two keerthanas of MDR... who complains (;- There was "mundu" incident towards end, when organizers wanted to honour him, he said, he has to tied up dhoti before he gets up..
Charulatha's accompaniment was very good, she reproduced most of the sangathis of price as is. Harikumar provided good support and played a lively tani. Only thing -main piece was in adi 1 kalai.. and no neraval any where...
