Sangeetha Kalanidhi Nedunuri Krishnamurthi garu
Vocal support: Malladi Ravikumar
Violin: Shriram Parasuram
Mridangam: MLN Raju
Ghatam: E M Subramaniam
It was a 2-hour AIR recording for the National Programme of Music, comprising of Annamachraya Krithis exclusively. The grand 'Ravindra Bharathi' auditorium was full almost to its brim.
1. Ithara chinta emittikki - bahudAri
2.Manasija GurudithadO - rIti gowLa
3.Telisithe Mokshamu - hamsanAdam
4. vivaha viduthikku raaka -tODi ( not sure about the lyrics!)
5.Avadharu Raghupathi - Khamas
6. Sadananadamu Sarveswaruni - kharaharapriyA
7. marali marali jaya maMgaLamu (Mangalam) & slokam
I was waiting for some rasika to upload the songs-list and comments. Every raga alapana was so beautifully & mellifluously rendered. rIti gowLa & hamsanAdam was just flowing non stop. The philosophical krithi 'telisithe mokshamu', full of the in-depth meaning about Life, cannot be sung in any other tune. tODi was brief. KharaharapriyA was the Highlight, with a detailed alapana, krithi rendition and tani.
Every krithi, we felt. should be sung in the raga aptly chosen and tuned by him. The clear diction added much more flavor throughout, esp. to the Hyd audience. Only the time-restriction was a constraint I felt. Some of the songs were fairly new to the audience, were the general comments.
Accompanying artistes made every effort to keep pace with his melody. It was wonderful to watch him applaud and appreciate them all in every possible way.
Finally,
"Ee krithilanni ila padadaanikki verOkkalu kalarO is what I felt" !!

Yes Ofcourse! When we watch them perform, we can find that they are his true-disciples (guruvikki thaggina sishyulu), in every possible sense, be it the music-rendition or how they are receptive to their accompanying artistes etc.,rshankar wrote:Must have been an awesome experience!
Maybe the Malladi Bros??sivakami wrote:Finally,

I like that composition manasija gurudithado, I heard Priya sisters sing it in "Annamacharya jayanthi" celebrations which were organised by SICA this june.
I particularly posted prior intimation about this concert, to inform you thinking you may not have exams now.
Btw, were you there on last thursday at Ravindra Bharathi, Pantula Rama's concert?

No the very next day was AIEEE exam so i could not make it to Panthula Rama garu's concert also. I'm waiting for the review probably tomorrow's Hindu will be covering it.
Well by the time SICA's golden jubilee concluding festival in the last week of may all my exams will be over. I guess the Concluding festival is going to be grand. Many artistes could be coming, So will definitely make it to the concerts then

Well, I'll try, as I went late that day for Pantula Rama's kutcheri. Yes, tomorrow's review will cover all the concerts, I think..revanthv552 wrote:I somehow missed the info Sivakami, due to exams did nt log in regularly and thus missed itsivakami wrote:

Perhaps we should also know each other's contact numbers. Btw, Malladi Bros are singing at Ravindra Bharathi on the 10th May it seems...
I will be away for a fortnight - going to my native place from 2nd May.

Definitely it would be very nice meeting you! I read the review in the hindu. I dont know who wrote it, but it was disappointing review. The reviews of Hindu are having too many errors these days They say Dikshitar's Ekadantham Bhajeham is in Khamboji!! While original one is in Bilahari.sivakami wrote:[.

I will definitely try to make it to the concert of Malladi Brothers, by all means! Though i have an exam in 4 days, i guess this concert will charge me up for the exam
