Dear fellow rasikas,
Of late work has been taking me out of town often, so it was nice to be in London to attend a really
top-class CM concert.
Nisha Rajagopalan is an artiste to watch. My overall impression is of an artiste who is steeped in
classicism, comes with an excellent pedigree (with TRS and PSN as gurus you can't go too wrong!)
and has a voice with azhuttam and a divine touch.
Concert details follow:-
Vocal: Nisha P. Rajagopalan
Violin: Bangalore Dr. Jyotsna Srikanth
Mridangam: Sri. Somasundara Desikar

Organised under the auspices of London Sath Sangham

The Shubhapantuvarali and Kambodhi items stood out.
The concert lasted less than 2 hours, which tends to be the norm in London. A few of us serious rasikas want to change this, and are forming a group that will aim to sponsor at least 2-3 'madi' kutcheris a year. In this regard, I would like to request any rasikas in London/nearby areas to get in touch with me.
Also, next weekend Nisha's mother Vasundhra Rajagopalan is performing in London. She was telling us she will use a concert combined with lec-dem format, with a focus on RTP. Again with her TRS-PSN background, I am really looking forward to her concert.
