While we wait for the Crossword Sequel to continue from Arun, here's one from me for the long weekend. I may not have been as diligent as Arun and even goofed up some, albeit easier for some.
Feedback appreciated

Thanks for taking up the slack suji :) - I wanted to get back but things have been a bit busy off late (which also means tackling this would have to wait atleast for another 3 days)

I have been trying to solve these puzzles & thanks to my total ignorance of CM only get 50% or so. The clues are really well thought out and challenging.

Being a X-word addict for 3 decades right from my school days, could we make a suggestion?
Most puzzles do not have blocks of black spaces & the vast majority of them have a symmetry. You can see examples of x-words in the Hindu or other papers.

Thanks for trying...
As usual I'll give one week before posting answers. In order for all to try pl hold your answers until then. But you can make your comments as I see your progress : )

To get a x word like Hindu- that's going to really tough. Making this one itself was so excrutiating!

Solving one is easier!

ya. solving is easy. sorry if i had spoiled the game. i am new so didnt know, will hold back. actually i knew all the answers, was not quite sure of the rules. so tentatively i gave only 3 -5 answers.

and sometimes asking becomes easy like in carnatic quiz. finding the answers are excruciating. hahaha.

try them also.

regards.

Suji, well done! So you can step in when the pro is busy elsewhere.
And let this be a lesson for Arun! :) Just kidding, we are all waiting for Arun's x-word quiz soon.

Suji,
I just had some time today to solve your crossword. 12 Across is very very difficult to me , I am not able to move an inch there. Infact trying to solve this alone ,I have taken more time than the rest.

I am kind of 50 -50 with 12 Down. But not too sure there.

RT/Arun/narayanan and others who are tyring,
How about you all did you get everything here with suji's crossword??

Rajesh

12A indeed is the rarest of rare honours and one has to toil hard for decades to 'get' it :)
Heard of late that it has a 33% quota among musicians who use different types of instruments/ faculties :)

once you get 12A, you will find that 12 D is 'equal'ly easy or hard :)

faran, very new to me. i left it in choice :) i got others right. and viloma was really good.

i suffered a bit with 'carukesi' as i was tinkering with lathangi a little and broke my bias with the word 'charukesi' and got it right.

good one suji.
