Well, vganesh sir.
That was very sad. I never claim that crying for a real reason is wrong. Any mother will have emotions for her child and venting out feelings is necessary.
But, it is not the same here!!
nAsikabhUshani is a 'villi'. She is not crying really. I didn't want to break the ice but I have to say it, I think.
Her intention has nothing to do with her son participating/winning in this competition. There is another secret plot behind her actions. I can't tell you the plot now, sorry! =)
This nAsikabhUshani is not a true mother. She is exploiting her son for her conspiracy! So, don't get fooled by her acting!!
srinivasrgvn, you have such a captivating writing style. That name Nasikabhushani V. Nasikabhushani was hilarious To me she looks like a 'villi' and a comedian at the moment. Waiting to see how the story unfolds......

Ganesh,
Agreed. A mother would do anything in helping her chil. It comes naturally to her--in this context, in their mastering music. Not in stooping to anything which would lead her child to winning the contest!
Real life situations are somewhat different, as we have seen ourselves, both on the forum and in real world. That is where objectivity comes in handy. Parents have to ask themselves these questions: while my child is gifted, is he unique? Isn't there room for other children to be gifted too? Don't gifts come with differences? Is that what makes judges decide on the finalists and not because they are prejudiced?
Judges too have to ask some questions of themselves: while the child that I choose is extremely talented, is he the only one who is worthy of winning? Am I going for him because he is my student, a friend or sponsor's child?
Thank goodness, our author makes sure that nothing of that sort happens. Our real life distinguished musicians who play the judges are depicted as they should be, with respect. Wonder if any of them look into Rasikas threads. Their students might....
srinivasrgvn wrote:Well, I don't know! I'd prefer them not reading.
Yes, it is better to keep them away from here to avoid infinte regression. The more they express their curiosity about their life being depicted at the forum, the more they have to wonder about how their wondering about their life being depicted here is depicted here.......
Still I wish srinivasrgvn had used suggestive names (like TNKK, OSST etc.,) so that in case if there were any controversial issues we do not get involved in any slander! Now he has to walk on razor's edge!
Don't worry! The worst controversial issue the 'judges' would face is maybe a difference of opinion between them. Nothing more alarming, don't worry! They will be happy if they see themselves in this series! The main motive behind my introducing of real-life judges was to add a bit of reality and interest. I don't think many authors have done this. Most of them drone on imaginary and lifeless characters who would have lived during the World Wars! Or, it would be aliens in Mars! I wanted my series to be different and captivating. That is why I had this kind of an idea. =)
Yes Arasi madam. thanks. My view is humans are imperfect. one has to accept and move ahead in life. Probably as you said a compartiveness would help in deciding.
SrinivasrgvnJi. good going. Lots of perspective. I am trying learn along with the story.
you are right arasi
Suguna Purushottaman, Gayatri, TNK and OST are real 'gems' in vidyA and vinayA. We should be legitimately proud of such icons of CM!

Actually the full shloka is even more beautiful and illuminating! vidyA dadAti vinayaM vinayAt yAti pAtratAM |

No doubt these folks deserve none lesser!
Let us hope that srinivasraghavan is really giving a super second half writeup. Also let us all give these few days time for our hari to pick a sudda madhyama krithi of dikshitar .
Hi all,
A 'big' sorry to all of you. I had to tackle a very great computer problem including severe hacking, viruses and other problems. So, it took me 2-3 weeks to fix all the problems and finally, I have bought a new PC as the old one is dead.
And you all needn't worry. I am fine. My computer was the deceased one. The happy news is that 'Relished Rapports' is going to be revived again with interesting sequences. Don't miss it!
And the blog can be brought back. It will be reopened soon. Expecting all of you to reply!!
Next update tomorrow. I think I will be able to update only on Sundays, from now on. Sorry for the inconvenience!
CML,
Thanks a lot for showering your affection on me. I am fine. Please don't worry!
I am really sorry that I caused such a lot of trouble to you all! Sorry! Will never happen again! =)
srinivasrgvn,
I thought you went to ooty to chillout and right out all the remaining episodes as a true writer who needs to be left alone .What virus is that taking it 3 weeks down , can we call it nAsikAbhooshani . All the computer dealers should be so happy with the virus as you have bought a brand new system (kind of turning around the economy). I hope I will be able to boot my PC tomorrow and not buy a new one.
srinivasrgvn
Myself and the rest of us are deeply relieved! Of course a 'sick' computer causes worries; but we cannot brook a sick srinivasrgvn! All's Well that ends well!
It is Ok if you can update only on Sundays! We have all the time in the world. If you do miss just a one-liner stating that the episode is postponed will allay our worries!
Just if Uday permits can we say "Let the 'mortal coils' of the old computer rest in peace"
Now let us get on with the show...
Thanks a lot! It is really heartening to know that so many of you care for me here. Don't at all worry. The series will continue on with exciting new plots. Keep watching for updates every Sunday. Today, there will be an update(maybe in the evening).
=)
rajeshnat,
The story is very long! First, I was hacked by some unknown enemy who deleted my blog too! But, somehow I managed to change my password and retrieve back the things. The hacker was obviously not that technical. I suggest all of you to be very careful on the internet. Don't publicize your e-mail address much. Also, better have some good anti-virus software like 'Kaspersky' or 'Mcafee' for security. And finally, I suggest upgrading old computers to a better RAM and hard disk. Low virtual memory was also a problem in my old PC as I had only 40 GB of space! Computers are indeed short-lived. Maximum life of a very good branded PC may be around 5-6 years(that too with a lot of maintenance procedures!!). The saddest thing of all was that I lost 'MediaMonkey' where I had tagged all my music as suggested by members in that thread. I had classified hundreds of songs according to ragam, talam, etc. but lost the database completely! At least, I have my music collection. I am happy for that!! =)
srinivasrgvn - Good to have you back. With external hard drives (1TB size) available at reasonable prices nowadays, anyone with personal collections of music, photos, documents, etc should back up their computers to an external drive.
Welcome back. Even though your PC was done, I am sure you would have used the time to bring in more twists and turns to the story and ofcourse Hari would have had the time to learn the new kriti.
Srinivas, I also suggest you download Malwarebytes and run a weekly update and check. I have found it very useful in pre-empting malware attacks and often much more useful than Antivirus itself.
And welcome back!

SrinivasraghavanJi, Nice to see you back. So worried as a fellow rasika. When somebody assures that they would come back tomorrow and did not turn .... (Never thought of a software crash ). You should have gone to cybercafe & accessed this fourm ( too much ). Whether "relished rapports" is there or not, continue to be active...

Good work Shriya! Now let us wait and see what ThATaka does with the viles of shUrpaNaka (aka NAsikabhUShaNi)...
How could vivek mess up margelara which is one of the easiest? I guess it was pre-planned by NAsika..
worth waiting for a week...
