An interesting article that recollects Musuri Subrahmanya Ayyar's tour of Singapore/Malaysia in 1935. Was this the first instance of a leading Carnatic music artiste crossing the oceans?

Interesting one. Many have approached Semmangudi Mama for overseas tour but he refused the opportunities.
