It was a very good concert. As i entered, Kum. Malavi was elaborating janaranjani and i left during the main, i hope others would fill up the list.

The kriti renditions were all weighty and moving. janaranjani AlApanai was very well done. Smt. Bhairavi's pUrvikalyANi was pretty weighty and was well fitting the kriti that followed. The mukhAri AlApanai they shared was very good and had some really nice classical phrases one could cherish for a long time. They did a very good job with the neraval svarams as well. The accompanists were very good and played in a very accomodative fashion.

Over all a very good concert and these ladies are defly to be watched in future.

Did you mean Parur MS AnantaRAMAN or do we have a violinist by name Parur MS Anantakrishnan?

He probably means M S Ananthakrishnan, son of violinist Shri M A Sundaresan. :)

You sure it was not Karaikkal Venkatasubramanian on the violin? Don't think he is related to the Parur family.

It was indeed Parur M S Ananthakrishnan on the fiddle.

Parur M S Ananthakrishnan is the grand son of Sri M S Anantharaman and son of Sri M A Sundareswaran.

i think it was mentioned as Karaikkal Venkatasubramanian in "The Hindu" ydy and may be that is the reason probably sureshvv is asking this question. Fyi he had to rush to Pondy that day as he had to attend to his sister who had given birth to a baby boy around 545pm.
