The concert was dedicated to Smt. D K Pattammal amma.
Brothers started the concert with Bhairavi varnam setting the mood right away, followed by short ragalapana for Deva Deva Kalayaamithe krithi and swarakalpana.
Another good piece was Sri Satyanarayanam, Subhapanthuvarali was greatly sung by Sri Seshachary.
Sub main item Palu Vicharamulela - Shanmukhapriya, done nicely by Sri Raghava Chary with niraval at Merathoo Sri Venkatesha with swarakalpana a good kanakku. The piece was just magical and wished it didn’t end. The lyric is so beautiful, touches ones heart and Sri Raghavachary brought life to this annamayya’s kriti.
Sri Seshachary chose Tulasi Bilva as main item with an elaborated ragalapana. The rendition was beautiful and the swarakalpana were great with full of raga bhava and Thani Avarthanam was good as well. Kedaragoula a close raga to Surati is not an easy task to attempt as main piece. Sri Seshachary did full justice showing he is a risk taker, proving his mastery. The clarity of the notation was great.
Can’t say much about Ahiri as this is one of the Brother’s popular item and another difficult raga. Some things to talk about Sri Shyama Sastry, his compositions are so great always refreshing to listen to.
Padam in Varali proved once again that Brothers set a beautiful and their own style in singing Javalis and Padams.
Then they sang Sri Mangaampalli’s composition Marulu Konnane which Sri BMK changed the lyrics recently to include his mudra, Murali. This was a stunning item, can’t put in words. The combination of the lyrics and Sri Seshachary’s voice modulation made all the difference.
The concert’s last item was Pahi Rama Dhoota and was concluded by mangalam.
Varadan’s accompaniment was great through out the concert.
Both brothers were great making this enjoyable concert. Again and again they show the care they take in diction, perfection of notation clarity, and sticking to traditional bani and in choosing challenging items.
Wish somebody can get this recording and load to SangeethaPriya.

I have not heard the ``ORIGINAL''(alathur) brothers (Are there duplicate ones??) sing Kedaragauli but this one by the brothers was very rewarding to listen. They brought out the joyous lilt in this ragam, matched in mood by the pace of tulasi bilwa. The brothers handled it with joy and gentleness combined. I too would like somone to upload this krithi.
