Anyone have a concert of Sri M. Balamuralikrishna in Indian Fine Arts in 1961, in which he sings Nagumomu and a Todi RTP? The concert is not labelled and I can only tell that the violin is probably Sri MS Gopalakrishnan, but I don't know who the mrudangist is.
Also, he has sung the Thyagaraja krithi "Edaari Sancharintura" which is listed in some places as Sruthi Ranjani, and in some places as Kaanthaamani. The difference between the ragas (As I understand it), is that Sruthi Ranjani is SNDPMGS vs Kaanthaamani, which is the 61st melakartha (sndpmgRs). Can anyone shed some light on which is the appropriate ragam for this song to be labelled as?
Thanks!

I have heard once in a live concert and the other in a radio recording where sriram gangadharan sings that song in shruthiranjani. YOu can take some help from Sriram gangAdharan.
Also look at the thread http://rasikas.org/forums/viewtopic.php? ... h2007.html where ramapriya and DRS have shared their insights to an extent about shruthiranjani.ramakriyA makes a passing mention that BMK has indeed sung in only shruthiranjani.

Yea actually my doubt is not so much what ragam HE has sung it in, but more so what the story was behind different sources having different names for the ragam.
His version is clearly Sruthi ranjani, as he announces at the end of the track.
Thanks, will look at that other thread and see if it has any information there.
