Nick: And if we forget that music was happening, it looks like you are trying to eat a spoonful of that kara sevai with the left and trying to catch any spills with the right ;)

Ah, yes... scooping it in! (left-handed too!)

Truth is, I ate just one little fragment

Perhaps we should keep lots of nice eatables infront of artistes when they sing, for regular concerts!
Annapurne alternating with Mayamma...interesting thought.

VKR sir, (on a lighter note) Labakdas comes from the dAtu (sanskrit): yO dAsaha sarva madhurANi (sweets) labak khAdati sa labakkudasaha.

This labakdas appeared in a movie in the form of Dr Mathrubhootham and Vivek (Comedian).

I still do not get what labakdas means since I did not see that movie.

Lord Labakdas supposedly means a "bigshot" in madras tamizh. It has become Vivek's signature joke much like Goundamani-Senthil's vazhaipazham.

Alright, now use that in a sentence... ( I feel left out with these modern day chennai slangs )

I thought labak means to eat, stuff with food in the mouth. Like we say labak labak...

ahiri's usage is in line with what suji has said. Straightforward usage of vivek's version is "Nee enna periya lord labakdasunnu nenappa".

Sorry I missed this session. I'd like to go to the next one, or have people come over, as the case may be...

We just moved to Hyderabad
Very much our loss; in fact I'm quite sad to hear that!

Wishing you all the best in your new home :)

Still, I suppose Hyderabad is only "the other side of Saligramam" too

So many things happens within a short period. Resurfacing after some time is a loss :|
