It was a very good concert. I have heard Smt. Rajeswari Padmanabhan play live, only once. I was still able to make a striking similarity in the way Smt. Chandramouli was on stage. With a similar face cut, her stage presence was a lot like her mother. And her sons had joined their mom in paying tribute to their grandmom.
All pieces that were presented were the trademark pieces of the Karaikkudi Style of vINai playing. They were all presented with the necessary gait and the grandeur of the version of their school was very beautifully showcased. The manOdarma parts were all very nice and inspiring. The accompanists were very good and played with perfect anticipation. It was a great and fulfilling concert.
Also, Sri Subramanian (brother of Smt. Rajeswari) spoke on the occasion giving some facets of vINai music, the kAraikkuDi style and the power of sAdagam etc.

This was a concert which touched the heart. Right from Viriboni to Sita Kalyanam, Sreevidhya had the audience in a magical trance. It was delighful to see 11 year old Kapila ( 11th generation player) support her. The grandeur of the Karaikudi tradition was on display - a fitting tribute indeed to the memory of the great Vainika Rajeshwari Padmanabhan. Both Shri Trichur Narendran and Shri Govindarajan supported so well.
It was also announced by Shri Karaikudi Subramaniam that Sreevidhya would shortly be performing in the Library of the US Congress. This is truly a great honor for CM
(I have now found the link as below.)

I was extremely happy to meet Bharath after the concert.

cienu: Thanks for the LOC link. Here is some good news then. Those LOC concerts are in collaboration with the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage. They broadcast the programs live and also archive them. The audio and video quality is usually excellent.
There are two concerts. We should be able to watch 19th program live or catch it later from their archives.
In the Kennedy Center, Wednesday, August 19, 2009, 6 P.M. Eastern USA time.
The LOC program is on the August 20, 2009 at 12:00 noon. Eastern USA time.
About Smt. Sreevidhya ( http://www.kennedy-center.org/programs/ ... CHNDRMLSRV )
Main page: http://www.kennedy-center.org/programs/millennium/
Archive: http://www.kennedy-center.org/programs/ ... chive.html (search for 'carnatic', there is an M.S. Sheela concert from last year and a few others, and the whole gamut of musical genres )
( Realplayer is needed. You all have enough time now to get that taken care of for the concert on the 19th ).

Nice music.
The leisurely development of begada (in which Kapila followed his mother nicely for the initial phrases), and the nATTai tAnam were particularly cherishable. The presence on stage, as rbharath says, is also worthy of mention ... everyone on stage and among the audience could feel comfortable and at ease and relish the soothing music that day.
