Here you go:

pallavi
vEzha mukhattarasE vA vA vizhainazhaittEn aruL tA tA

Oh king (arasE) with the face (mug(h)attu) of an elephant (vEzha)! I have invited (azhaittEn) you with great loving care (vizhaindu), so please come to me (vA vA), and grant (tA tA) me your grace and blessings (aruL).

anupallavi
vENDum anbar vighnam aghaTra veLLi ambalattE tigazhum (vEzha mukhattarasE"¦)

(Oh elephant-faced one) who is resplendently enshrined (tigazhum) in the silver (veLLi) temple/hall (ambalattE) of Madurai [1] just so that he can remove/destroy (agaTra) the obstacles (vighnam) that torture the lives of devotees (anbar) who pray (vENDum) to him (please come to me).

caraNam
dEvI mInAkSi sannidhi mEvi vaDapurattamarndAi
mUvulagilum pUjai mudalvA en kAviya mAlai kazhalaNiya

Having manifested (mEvi) in the temple/sanctum-sanctorum (sannidhi) of the goddess (dEvi) mInAkshI, you established yourself (amarndAi) in the northern (vaDa) aspect (purattu) of the temple. You are the one to whom everyone in the three (muv) worlds (ulagam) offer their first (mudalvA) prayers (pUjai) to! (Please come to me) to wear (aNiya) a string (mAlai) of my poetry (kAviya) as your anklet (kazal).

FOOTNOTE
[1] veLLi ambalam refers to the silver hall or rajata sabhai - one of the 5 halls of the dancing Lord (naTrAjA)

Ravi,
You do a better job than I do. It is just as well that mine disappeared :)
Sujatha Vijayaraghavan and I sang this as an invocation in Madurai Sadguru Samajam and MLV's concert followed. I think it was an anniversary celebration. "Those were the days my friend"...

WOW! Fame indeed! You can claim that you were Smt. MLV's 'opening act'!

Any chance of a recording?
