Demise of Sri L. Krishnan

Got the information from the Rasikapriya group list that Sri L. Krishnan passed away. He is the father of mrudangam artiste, Sri K. Arunprakash.
Sri Krishnan was a disciple of GNB and is best known for composing and directing the orchestration for many devotional albums.

It is indeed a sad news. He is one of the greatest composer for devotional albums, in particular and can be said that there is no leading singers who would probably have not sung under his music composition/direction. Our sincere condolences.

I just learned from my father that L. Krishnan and my uncle- Late Shri RM Sundaram were very close friends owing to their tutelage under GNB. Our profound condolences.

(revathi),a popular hit of Maharajapuram Santhanm was actually put to tune by L.Krishnan.

I did not know that , what a gift to santhanam, I was thinking the tune was either done by santhanam or the composer swami dayanAnda saraswathi
