Hi all,

I just recently moved to the NYC area and am looking to meet people who are interested in Carnatic music. I am an avid rasika and play the violin myself, so if there's anyone out there in the NYC/NJ area who would like to practice together, please get back to me @ [email protected]. I consider myself to be an advanced beginner/intermediate kind of student and would love to have weekend practice sessions with someone who sings or plays the violin.

Dear New to NY: Welcome to NYC!! Please visit the Hindu temple in Flushing NY-especially the wekends.The Temple has a Cultural Committee which arranges concerts by visiting artistes and is always looking to "enrol" new accompanists/singers to its roster--we would like to have you on our list.
Please send details to [email protected] --this will be forwarded to the members of the Cultural Committee(of which my wife is one of the members!!).
Please give details of your training which school,concerts played etc in your e-mail.
