Many people enjoying the cool Bangalore atmosphere welcomed the most scintillating evening at the Nadaranjani Sangeetha Sabha which had organized a flute concert by Smt. Sikkil Mala Chandrasekhar (the sole successor of sikkil sisters on flute & Grand daughter-in law of Bharat Ratna M.S.Subbulakshmi).

Smt. Mala was accompanied by,
Sri. C. N. Chandrashekar on violin, Sri. Sudheendra on Mridangam, Sri. Narayana Murthy on Ghatam & Smt. Bhagyalakshmi on Morsing.

Initiating the concert with Dakshina murthy shloka, she dragged the attention of the audience & made them to settle down getting oblivious of surrounding for next 3 hrs. And Sikkil Sigaaravelane was the first to render.
This was followed by a brief alapana of hamsadwani continued with the rendition of Vatapi Ganapathim. Neraval was the fantastic ever which cant be paralleled by many instrumentalists esp, wind instrumentalists.
Next was Innudaya-baarade, which she rendered in a pleading way to the lord as the lyrics goes.

Then followed a very brisk rendition of Elaraa Krishna.
This continued with Mayamma followed by Raghunatha nannu, then she rendered the main piece Rama rama guNaseema, which was so refulgent.

Then the tukkudas section began with chinnajirukiliyae, which came out very fabulously, then followed the all time Hit-songs of tukkada section with Bhavayami Gopaalabaalam which was so pleasant to the ears.
This followed Katrinilae Varum Geetham which sounded apt to that evening at Bangalore. :)..,

Kurai Ondrum Illai was then rendered which sounded so special & made few pair of eyes; wet with the emotion she created on flute. Then came the dancing tempo - Bhaagyada Lakshmi Baaramma. Final pieces were Maithreem Bhajatha & Pavamana rendered as specially as other songs.

Overall, i can brief the section without any exaggeration that, whenever Smt. Mala renders the set of songs she sees to that she sets a benchmark of 'Flawless & Perfection-attained' music, which is a matter of pride that i was one among the many listeners who enjoyed that Divine music.. :)
