Mudhra and Brahma Gana Sabha are conducting VeenotsavÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚Â¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚Â¢09, a festival featuring 28 eminent veena artists on 10th and 11th October at Infosys Hall, Ramakrishna Mission School premises, T.Nagar. On the first day, the concerts start at 5p.m and on the second day, concerts have been slated continuously throughout the day from 10a.m to 10p.m. A special highlight of the Utsav is a research based multimedia presentation with live demonstration on "Veena - Evolution, Styles and Stalwarts"

Great! After the recent 'akhanda' veena playing(concerts) recently, now chennai is to have the veenotsav 09.
Avery nice initiative by MUDHRA.
Awaiting report/review of the utsav.

Thank you all for your wishes.It is our earnest wish that Veena be given its glorious status and this is a small effort in that line. Rasikas should be made aware of the greatness of this divine instrument in projecting the true essence of karnatic music.

Hope 'Samudra' will give a wide coverage so that people who cannot attend the veenotsav ,get, atleast, to read what happened during the utsav.
