I have seen this video almost 5 years back in Doordarshan . (Title of the documentary Nauka Charitam???-Doubt)

It includes the video of MS doing pooja , drawing a kolam and singing Kurai Ondrum Illai and DKP's video of Jaganmohini Pallavi and Brinda Amma singing a padam.

I have not come across this video again. One good friend of mine told that this video is broadcasted in the LOKSABHA channel recently.

Can any one tell me where to get this video recording? Is it commercially available ?Or if any rasika has the video ?If yes can that be uploaded in sangeethamshare?

Thanks & Regards

What is the connection of the scenes in this clip to Sri tyAgarAja's naukA caritam?

DD has brought out a VCD of naukA caritam as a nATyam choreographed by guru, Smt. Rhadha (among the dancers are Smts. Sumitra Nitin and Sunanda Narayanan). IIRC, Smt. Sowmya has sung for this production.

I guess Aditto is asking about TWO different DVDs, one of Nauka Charitam and the other the aforementioned documentary.
The Nauka Charitam DVD by Doordarshan Archives that I have has the following participants:
Singers: Sujatha Vijayaraghavan, Kanakadurga and Sunanda Vijayaraghavan
Dancers: Lavanya Venkat as Krishna; Radha, Sunanda & Sumitra Vijayaraghavan, Sangita Vasudevan, and Pavitra Srinivasan as Gopies.
I have no knowledge about the other documentary DVD, in which I am also interested.

I have come across the VCD sri.sundara rajan and rshankar has mentioned in a hindu review..I might be wrong with the name of the Documentary. But it exists and loksabha channel might be telecasting some of DDs documentaries.

Perhaps the senior carnatic rasikas or Sri.Cienu may update on the existence of this video! :)

Thanks nd Regards

Smt. Sumitra Nitin (nee Vijayaraghavan) and Smt. Sunanda Narayanan (nee Vijayaraghavan) are the daughters of Smt. Sujatha Vijayaraghavan, and grand-daughters of the supremely gifted Smt. Anantalakshmi Sadagopan, our Arasi's aunt.

Aditya: I have the same question as Ravi. Please clarify and also update the title of the thread if needed ( the subject of the first post is also the title of the topic/thread )

Good. I moved the doubtful name 'nauka charitham' to the body of your post.

The documentary, Nauka Caritramu was directed by a Saroj Satyanarayan. I remember watching it at a London film festival several years ago and its is listed on the BFI database:

As to where to obtain a copy - I am unfortunately in the dark and would be grateful if anybody knew more.
